Spring/Summer Season
This Spring & Summer program redesign is the result of extensive parent and player feedback, thoughtful planning, and a clear-eyed evaluation of where we are—and where we need to go to improve team performance. Families asked for more flexibility so players can balance other sports, work, and commitments, while still getting meaningful development. At the same time, we leaned heavily on input from peer coaches across the league, best practices across the SHL, internal coach discussions and Coach Ford’s direct assessment of our players’ current skill levels. One consistent takeaway was that skating skills must be a major area of focus if we want to keep pace with top programs, which is why we’ve added dedicated power skating—an essential tool for high school players to improve speed, efficiency, balance, and overall game impact. We’ve also built in unstructured 3x3 in small areas, because these environments accelerate decision-making, creativity, compete level, and puck touches—skills that directly translate to better performance in full-ice games. The result is a more intentional, modern, and flexible development model designed to better serve our players and families.

Camp Robinhood (Sleep-Away Camp)
After several years of discussion with St Ignatius, we are finally able to offer this camp option that they've been participating in for several years. What started as only a handful of players attending, has turned into nearly their entire program participating. Stevenson and St Ignatius will see intentional overlap at camp across activities, both on and off the ice. This is meant to be an opportunity for goal setting, pre-tryout competition and team bonding. This is entirely optional.
Dates: August 8–12 (3 nights / 4 days) in New Hampshire
Players depart early August 8 to Boston, then travel to camp together, returning dinner time the 12th - Just in time for the 1st day of school
- On-ice: 2 hours/day
- Activities: Swimming, boating, sunrise hike, campfires, team bonding, Olympics day (hockey & non-hockey)
- Ice sessions will be Stevenson-only and mixed groups by skill
- St. Ignatius and part of the Stevenson coaching staff will attend (final SHS staff TBD based on numbers)
- Fall tryouts will begin after this camp
This fee includes all ice, accommodations, meals, activities and ground transportation. This does not include airfare to/from Boston, which is currently running approximately $160/RT
- $1,300 by April 1
- $1,500 after April 1
